BIO /FELICITY MAYER
When I was a a little girl, 2 yrs old, I’d beg my grandma to look through the one box of photos that she had. I’d sit and go through them for hours. It never got old. Naturally, I loved taking photos myself. I’m that girl with 30,000 photos and no space on her phone.
When I got a bit older, I decided that one day I’d be a vlogger. That would be my creative outlet.
As time passed, God continued to put people in my life so that photography was always there. First my cousin Israel (who now does wedding videography), then my friend Mila (who is now a family photographer), and after going many years without touching a camera, my husband, Jake.
If you had told me a year ago we’d be diving headfirst into photography as a business, I wouldn’t have believed you. Life has a funny way of redirecting your path. When Jake got accepted into flight school for the Army, we packed up and moved to Alabama — which meant I had to hit pause on my dog training business.
Creativity has always been part of who we are, and for me, photography became a quiet passion during my late teens and early twenties. I started learning from friends and family, shooting for fun. Eight years, two kids, three dogs, and a marriage later, Jake randomly picked up the camera that had been collecting dust on the shelf one day. I couldn’t let him have all the fun to himself; classic FOMO. Jake hadn’t used a camera much before, but naturally (because he’s good at everything ), he picked it up quickly.
Fast forward though five cameras (don’t ask, we’re a little extra), eight months of late-night editing and lots of learning, and here we are: a husband-and-wife photography team doing what we love and doing it together.
We’re not here for stiff poses or perfect stills — we’re here for the teary vows, the belly laughs, the quiet glances, and the once-in-a-lifetime memories.
Whether it’s your wedding day, your baby’s first breath, or the moment you say yes, we’ll be there — probably crying right along with you. If it matters to you, it matters to us. And we’ll make sure it’s frozen in time, just the way you felt it.
